Jan 24th
When choosing fitness equipment it is important to look at what you actually want, or need to get out of the exercise you are going to do. Do you want to increase your stamina or are you looking to increase your muscle tone?
If it is the letter then you could look at simply buying an abs belt, the Slendertone System Abs is a great investment and you can always replace the slendertone pads when they become worn out. This makes it really good value for money because it could last for years.
If, on the other hand you are looking for more overall fitness you could consider joining a gym or simply going walking or swimming. This would mean you would not have to spend money on expensive gym equipment. There is also the benefit of getting out in the fresh air that does you a lot of good. Just make sure you find something you enjoy.
Exercise Equipment for Home – 2 Common Mistakes
Oct 10th
Before you purchase exercise equipment for your home be sure to prepare yourself both mentally and physically for this new member of the family. Yes, you will have to take care of it for it to continue to provide you with results for years to come. Here are two basic mistakes that you can avoid to save you money and frustration.
#1 – Not Enough Space
Please avoid the common mistake of simply placing a treadmill or like equipment in a tiny area of a room. Ideally, there should not be any other items within a two feet circumference of your equipment.
#2 – What Owner’s Manual?
Seems silly doesn’t it? People spend hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on a piece of exercise equipment but fail to read about how to properly care for the item. Ignoring the owner’s manual can lead to you inadvertently voiding the warranty. For example, some Polar heart rate monitors require that the battery be changed by a registered agent. You wouldn’t know this unless you read the warranty or combed their website.
